@thetastyyolk has got it all. From hot & spicy chicken sandwiches to egg sandwiches, burgers, wraps and more! With ever-changing specials on a weekly basis, it is guaranteed to find something you love. While going through over 1000 dozen eggs a week amongst their several locations, you can tell they’re a local favorite. 

This past week, Tasty Yolk gave us an opportunity to come in and try their two favorites sandwiches; The Banker & The Nashville Hot. The employee favorite is the Nashville Hot, which consists of hot fried chicken, hot honey, pickles, mayo on a toasted bun. The Banker is a delicious combination of brisket, 2 eggs, swiss and spicy aioli on a toasted bun. These are two must try sandwiches on your next trip to the 203. 

At Tasty Yolk, their sole focus is maintaining happy customers and happy staff. Chef & Owner Eric Felitto says one of his favorite parts of his jobs is having new people try his food. He has a passion for cooking and isn’t afraid to show it. Whether it be driving 4 hours to Boston, MA in the food truck or going completely in the opposite direction, the Tasty Yolk will meet you at your location. Book online through their website. 

Chef Eric Felitto and Michael Bertanza are the creative masterminds behind the Tasty Yolk menu and atmosphere! They started this up in 2016 with a dream of owning their own breakfast spot. Chef Eric worked as a chef in @thechelsea, @artisansouthport & others until the Tasty Yolk storefronts opened in 2019. He now dedicates his time and energy to crafting tasty specials each week. Michael Bertanza started as a financial advisor after graduating from Miami Business school but couldn’t give up their passion for cooking. 

Throughout the years, Tasty Yolk has expanded into 4 food trucks and 2 storefront locations, in Stratford & Black Rock! Stop by one of their locations for a happy, satisfied belly!

About the Tasty Yolk:

While working at the Chelsea, Eric and a childhood friend, Michael Bertanza decided to start a breakfast food truck, The Tasty Yolk established May 5, 2016. Their intentions were to remain at their primary jobs, but get their own piece of the pie by having a breakfast business. They could work the truck before going into their primary jobs. Michael Bertanza, who was a financial adviser at the time, left his job when the two decided to open their second truck in November 14, 2017. The business is now a success! Michael works the truck with his wife, Shekinah Bertanza. Eric Works the storefront with his wife, Allison McHale, who also heads their social media. You could say it’s a family business.
