Join us September 9 for our 5th annual cornhole tournament, sponsored by Point No POint Park and Friends of Jared’s Dog Park. This is the primary fundraiser for Jared’s, and we really appreciate your support!

In addition to cornhole, we’ll have a gigantic raffle with gift baskets and lots of gift cards donated by local restaurants and businesses.

There will be a 203popups Market, and plenty of great food from Little Pub to go, Lordship Lobster and the Melting Truck, with beer specials for registered cornhole players…but even if you don’t play cornhole it will be a great time for a great cause!

Pre-register with Scoreholio for competitive divisions with upper and lower tiers. Cash prizes for upper tier winners, gift cards and prizes for lower tier. Check in at 9 AM, bags fly at 10 AM. Market and raffle open 10 AM – 2 PM.

About Jared’s Dog Park:

Jared was a resident of Stratford for over 30 years. He attended Chapel Street School. Flood Middle School and graduated from Bunnell High School.

He was a member of Cub Scouts,  Boy Scouts, Stratford PAL, Explorer Post 4911 and became one of the youngest members of Stratford EMS.

Jared also volunteered at the Audubon Society for many years, Nichols Fire Dept and Trumbull Animal Group, from where he adopted most of his numerous dogs!

He suffered an untimely death at 36 years young as a result of lingering injuries suffered from being hit by a drunk driver while driving with his pups.

His happiest days were spent walking the trails in Roosevelt Forest with his fur babies! This park will allow his memory to live on and provide the people of Stratford a place where they can let their dogs run free and socialize with others.
