Fairfield, CT – August 23, 2024 – In response to the growing mental health crisis, the community is coming together for the WAVE for Mental Health and Suicide Prevention event on September 14, 2024. This event aims to ensure that quality mental health support is accessible to everyone, regardless of their insurance status.
As suicide rates continue to rise at an alarming rate, it is more crucial than ever to demonstrate to those struggling that there is hope and help available. WAVE is dedicated to conveying the powerful message that no one should feel that ending their life is the only option.
All proceeds from this event will benefit Renew Counseling Associates, a renowned not-for-profit mental health organization committed to transforming lives through hope, healing, and restoration. Renew Counseling Associates has a long history of providing essential mental health services to those in need, regardless of their ability to pay.
“We believe that help shouldn’t be hard to get when someone is ready,” said Jessica McCormack, of Fairfield Mom’s, co-sponsor of the event.
The WAVE (‘Wrangler Awareness Valuing Everyone’) event will feature the JEEP community with providing an opportunity for community members to learn more about mental health, connect with resources, and contribute to a cause that affects us all. “Our goal is to bring the community together to support those who are struggling and to ensure that they receive the quality care they deserve” said Omar Ziyadeh of Revive Telehealth, co-sponsor of the event.
