Orange Hills Country Club, located in Orange, CT, offers a picturesque 18-hole golf course designed by Geoffrey S. Cornish, ASGCA, featuring 6,499 yards of golf from the longest tees for a par of 71. Established in 1921 and expanded to 18 holes in 1961, the club remains a family-owned business with a rich history of ownership passed down through generations.
Under the leadership of the Smith family, with Walter H. Smith acquiring sole ownership in 1955 and his son, Walter E. Smith (Bud), overseeing managerial affairs, the club continues to thrive. Today, Bud’s son, Jud, serves as the superintendent, and his daughter, Judy, manages the clubhouse and golf operations, ensuring a welcoming and well-maintained facility for golf enthusiasts of all levels.
