Founded in 2010, Scratch Baking began as a small bakeshop tucked behind the Milford train station. In 2018, they moved to a bigger location on the Milford green with an expanded menu and larger staff. Every year, they keep on growing and striving to offer new products and services to meet the needs of their community. All their products are made in house from real ingredients. Each loaf of bread is shaped by hand – no shortcuts here! If you ever try one of their products and aren’t satisfied, let them know! Their goal is 100% customer satisfaction – from the moment you enter their big red door to the last crumb, they strive for friendly service and top-notch products. Scratch Baking is owned by Lesli Flick, a graduate of Union College and trained at the Institute of Culinary Education (formerly Peter Kump’s). Lesli began her professional baking career in 2002 under the 2002 Pastry Chef of the Year and Food Network regular Andrew Shotts of Garrison Confectioners. Lesli’s desserts have graced the pages of Food and Wine, Oprah Winfrey’s O-Magazine, Wired and Connecticut Cottages and Gardens. She has been a contributor to three acclaimed cookbooks, including the SONO Baking Company Cookbook. Her cakes have been featured on the Martha Stewart Show and STYLE Network’s Art of Wedding Cakes 2. Their team is full of brilliant bakers, working hard every day to produce the best baked goods possible. They are so grateful to their amazing team that keep making their bakery the best it can be! Stop by and say hi to everyone – they can’t wait to see you!
