Located in the rolling hills of North Guilford, Connecticut, the Potter Family Farm has been a part of the local landscape for over 200 years. The farm was originally purchased by Russell Potter in the early 1800’s. Having used the land for farming since the beginning, Russell and his family planted fruit trees and berry bushes, raised animals, and hayed the fields.
The Potter Family Farm has remained in the family for 7 generations. Today, Martin Potter, Russell’s great-grandson, continues to farm the land. Building on his grandfather’s vision of farming, and while maintaining the integrity of land, Martin focuses on regenerative farming, which is a practice to benefit both the land and the animals.
The Potter Family Farm has become a valuable organic food source with its organic and authentic approach to farming. Local families have enjoyed our products, as well as local restaurants who have featured Potter Family Meats on their menus.
