Quassy Amusement Park, founded as an amusement park in 1908, sits on the south shore of Lake Quassapaug in Middlebury, Conn. On its 20-plus acres, the company has nearly 25 rides, which include the Saturation Station interactive water play area, Yo-Yo super swing ride, The Big Flush water coaster, a grand carousel, thrill rides and rides for the very young. A sandy beach provides swimming in a clean, spring-fed lake. Quassy has a large picnic grove where people can cook their own food, a large electronic game arcade, food stands and a restaurant. It also has two catering pavilions where it can host company outings and family reunions of 100 to 2,000 people.
